    PSG Champions League

They are the team that almost always glitters brightest in Paris, a team befitting the city’s nickname “la Ville Lumiere.”

They have no worlds left to conquer inside their country’s walls, having placed a stranglehold on Ligue 1 shortly after Qatar Sports Investments became the club’s only shareholder in 2012. 3. What effect would independence have on Scottish football?

August 22, 2014 by David Bolt

I’m not sure how big a story this has been around the world, but next month Scotland is voting to decide whether or not they should become an independent country for the first time since 1707.

Scottish nationalism may be very high at the time voters go to the polls. Glasgow has just successfully hosted the Commonwealth Games, in which the UK countries compete as separate nations, and the Ryder Cup will soon be held at Gleneagles.

Opinion polls seem to suggest that, at the moment, Scotland will stay in the UK, but let’s say hypothetically that the ‘yes’ campaign is successful and Scotland becomes independent.

  4. EPL Newcomers Team Of The Season

May 19, 2014 by David Bolt

Sadly, the end of what has been an entertaining Premier League season is now upon us, and writers everywhere are picking their teams of the season, so I thought I’d do the same.

The problem I have with many of these teams is that, most of the time, it’s pretty obvious who will be in them and as a result, they don’t vary much from writer to writer. That’s not very interesting to me; and I’m sure none of you reading this need me to tell you how good a season Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard or Yaya Toure have had.
