FA Cup Third Round Predictions
0January 4, 2013 by Gabriel Sutton
Brighton v Newcastle
I can really see an odds upset here. Brighton have had longer to prepare for this and are off the back of a 3-0 win at Ipswich, whereas Newcastle may have hard time against Everton on Wednesday and have had a lot of injuries. A brave shout to open with I know, but: 2-0 Brighton.
Aldershot v Rotherham
An all League 2 clash. With promotion far from in the bag for the Millers (that’s Rotherham by the way), they’ll have their league form at the forefront of their minds, whereas Aldershot are at home and are far enough from relegation to afford a run in the cup. 1-0 the Shots.

Football manages to restore some of its pride
0May 15, 2012 by Adam Gray

Somewhere amongst all the headlines made by Yaya Toure’s cameo performance that effectively sealed Manchester City’s name on the Premier League title at Newcastle on Sunday afternoon, the undercard role turned its teary eye into the direction of sentiment as they fittingly ended a superb campaign by unveiling a bronze statue of Sir Bobby Robson outside the Sports Direct Arena. The footballing plotlines barely saw time to stand and reflect on the symbolism of this behemoth of footballing gentry that served the club and the sport so dignifiedly throughout his life that was regrettably cut short to cancer at the age of 76.

Why this year’s FA Cup will be better than most think
0May 5, 2012 by Kyle Brod
After the 2-0 loss to Newcastle at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday,Chelsea now has the same focus that Liverpool has had for a few months now. Only one thing matters for these two prestigious clubs as the calendar turns to May: Trophies
On Saturday, the two clubs will meet at Wembley for the FA Cup, a trophy that both clubs will look to take in order to justify their seasons. Currently, Chelsea sits in 6th in the Premier League, while Liverpool sits in the 8th spot, twelve points behind the Blues. Unless Chelsea win the final in Munich on the 19th, both teams are set to miss out on the Champions League next year. The domestic game is, therefore, of great importance for both clubs.
