Champions League Matchday 2: Five Things We Learned
0October 5, 2012 by Sean Charles
1) James is destined for greatness

I have already profiled this boy as a player to watch in this season’s tournament before matchday 1 but his performance and goal last night put to bed any lingering doubt that he is a truly special player. He possesses so many qualities that are often so rare in such a young player – his eye for a pass, ability to draw opposing players in to him, finding space in congested areas, knowing exactly when to dribble or when to move on possession, composure under intense pressure – these are to name just a few of his qualities. In my opinion the only other player of a similar age group who can match him is Neymar of Santos. Of all the players aged 21 and below currently playing in Europe, none of them are playing at the capacity James is.

Names To Watch Out For in the Champions League
0September 19, 2012 by Sean Charles
Some of these players are already quite well-known, others not so much:
Fraser Forster – Celtic

The young English goalkeeper played a big role in making Celtic’s journey through the qualifying rounds appear on paper much more comfortable than it actually was. Standing at 6ft 7, he pulled off numerous crucial saves against both HJK Helsinki and Helsingborgs and the same will be required again if Celtic are to stand any chance of progressing beyond a group consisting of Barcelona, Benfica and Spartak Moscow.
Toby Alderweireld – Ajax

The dancing dismissal of the Porto player
0May 7, 2012 by Rami El Chamaa
After winning the Primeira Liga in the previous game week, all of the Porto players had their hair coloured white and blue for the match on Saturday. And very late on in the game, Fernando was sent off for a second yellow. Seen as the stadium was in a party mood, he laughed and danced off the pitch. Here is the video of the incident:
