Euro 2012: France 0-2 Spain Match Report
0June 24, 2012 by Sean Charles
Line-Ups and Formation:

Blanc surprised us by starting Anthony Reveilliere at right-back and playing Debuchy in front of him at the right-hand side of midfield. Malouda was also preferred to Samir Nasri and as expected, Laurent Koscielny replaced the suspended Mexes.
Del Bosque also had a slight surprise of his own in starting Cesc Fabregas as the false nine in place of Fernando Torres. All else remained as it were with the Spanish starting line-up.

Euro 2012: Preview France – Spain
2June 23, 2012 by Sean Charles
This game will kick-off at 19:45 GMT.
Formation and Team News:
France (4-2-3-1): Lloris, Debuchy, Koscielny, Rami, Clichy, Cabaye, M’Vila, Menez, Nasri, Ribery, Benzema.
Spain (4-3-2-1): Casillas, Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba, Busquets, Alonso, Xavi, Silva, Iniesta, Torres.
Laurent Koscielny will replace the suspended Philippe Mexes at the heart of the French defence. Cabaye could also be back in the starting line-up after missing the game against Sweden due to a thigh injury. It seems likely that Jeremy Menez will start this game after France’s less than impressive display against Sweden in his absence, ending the French 23 game unbeaten run. Also, with the disappointing form of Samir Nasri, Blanc may even attempt to turn the midfield into a battlefield by dropping Nasri and instead going with Diarra, Cabaye and M’Vila, giving Cabaye the freedom to break forward as a box-to-box midfielder.

Euro 2012: Spain – Republic of Ireland Preview
0June 14, 2012 by Sean Charles
This game will kick off on Thursday 14th June at 19:45 GMT.
Team News and Line-Ups
Predicted Formation and Line-Ups:
Del Bosque has taken some stick in Spain for utilising the strikerless formation. A lot of the substance behind the criticism is pointed at the improvement in Spain’s attacking play once a natural striker had been introduced in the second half. For these reasons it looks very likely that Torres will start against the Irish with Fabregas being the player most likely to be dropped to accommodate him. No other changes are expected in the Spanish starting eleven.

A look into Europe’s Crystal Ball – Predicting the European Leagues winners
0April 25, 2012 by Matteo Roberts
Congratulations to the 2012 Bundesliga champions, Borussia Dortmund. Though the Germans may have crowned their champions, most European leagues are still tightly contested. With most leagues winding down to their final weeks of action, I take a look at each title race and offer my speculation.

Interesting Fact on Hugo Sanchez
3March 15, 2012 by Rami El Chamaa
In the 1989/1990 season with Real Madrid, Hugo Sanchez, also known as Hugol, scored 38 goals. Here is the catch, all of them were one-touch goals. I know it’s hard to believe but here is a video of those 38 goals. Enjoy the clinical touch of Hugol.
