Gameweek 34 promises to be a bumper one, with as many as eight teams enjoying a double gameweek. Last week’s ones to watch produced mixed results. Here are gameweek 34’s top picks:
Jesse Lingard (Manchester United, £6m)
The England international offers a value route into a Manchester United team that hosts West Brom at Old Trafford on Sunday before a midweek trip to Bournemouth.
The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba are much more expensive options, but if cannot stretch to any of those players, then Lingard offers you United coverage, as he always offers an attacking threat.
The 25-year-old has scored eight goals and produced five assists this season in the Premier League.
Christian Eriksen (Tottenham, £9.4m)
The Denmark international is not a cheap option. However, he could be a good Spurs alternative to striker Harry Kane if you cannot afford the England international.
The former Ajax playmaker has produced three goals and two assists in his last five Premier League outings. The North London side host champions elect Manchester City this weekend and then travel to Brighton in midweek.
Tottenham also have a promising run of fixtures until the end of the campaign, so he could be a good long-term option for your FPL team.
Riyad Mahrez (Leicester, £9m)
The Algerian playmaker has failed to produce any points in his last two weeks. However, in the last four top-flight games he has produced two goals and one assist. The unpredictable star has scored ten goals this season and produced 11 assists.
Mahrez is another player with two matches in gameweek 34, as the Foxes visit Burnley’s Turf Moor and also host Southampton midweek. It would be highly surprising if the winger does not add to his points tally in the next two games.
