The Premier League returns this week after the FA Cup third round occupied us football fans last week. With the return of the Premier League comes the return of FPL and our ones to watch feature. Here are the three ones to watch this weekend in FPL:
Jesse Lingard (Manchester United £6.3m)
For me, Jesse Lingard is a no-brainer for Gameweek 23. The winger has now scored seven goals and four assists this season. However, many of those have come in the last few weeks.
Lingard has provided a goal or an assist in four of his last five Premier League appearances, scoring four times and producing one assist. A home game against Stoke on Monday night looks to be the perfect opportunity for the winger to add to this seasons points haul.
Marko Arnautovic (West Ham, £6.9m)
Although the Austrian star has missed out through injury in recent games, he is expected to recover in time to face Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Arnautovic found life tough at West Ham until recently. The £25million man has now scored five times and produced one assist in his last six top-flight appearances.
Huddersfield have struggled for victories of late in the Premier League, so it may be a good opportunity for Arnautovic to add to his points tally.
Alvaro Morata (Chelsea, £10.5m)
The Spanish striker has endured a few nightmare games of late for the Blues. However, he is a goalscorer and he will continue to get into goalscoring positions.
Like any striker and one goal could trigger a goalscoring run. Morata proved earlier in the season that he has what it takes to score goals in the Premier League.
The goals will come again for the former Real Madrid star and the visit of Leicester to Stamford Bridge on Saturday may just be the game Morata fortunes turnaround.
Who is the must-have FPL asset for Gameweek 23?
