Gameweek 26 was not a great one for our picks. However, we are hoping our picks for gameweek 27 serve you better than last time out. Here are the ones to watch for the latest FPL week:
Gerard Deulofeu (Watford, £6m)
The 23-year-old only joined the Hornets in January from Barcelona on loan. However, the former Everton winger impressed on his home debut against Chelsea on Monday night in a 4-1 win at Vicarage Road. Deulofeu produced a goal and an assist against the Blues and looked like a major threat for Javi Gracia’s team.
Deulofeu’s £6m value and the fact that he faces a trip to an injury-ravaged West Ham on Saturday afternoon make him a very promising FPL asset.
Alfie Mawson (Swansea City, £5.1m)
The former Barnsley centre-back has proven himself a good attacking threat in his time with the Welsh club. The centre-back has produced a goal and an assist in his last three Premier League appearances. He has also scored six times in his 53 top-flight appearances for the Swans.
Swansea have also improved defensively under Portuguese boss Carlos Carvalhal. A home game against Burnley this weekend offers Mawson the chance to add to his points tally.
Bernardo Silva (Manchester City, £7.4m)
Manchester City have been the most prolific team in the Premier League this season. The likes of Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero have scored lots of points this season.
However, Silva has recently played regularly with Sane currently sidelined due to injury. The Portuguese international has proven highly prolific in his recent top-flight appearances. In fact, the former Monaco star has produced a goal or assist in six out of his last eight appearances for the Citizens.
Silva is a good route into the City team and best value at £7.4m. A home game against Leicester this weekend offers Silva the chance to improve his points tally greatly.
