The Premier League is set to return this weekend after a somewhat extended break courtesy of the internationals that have been going on, and many fans are ready to dive head first straight back into the madness that comes with that. Some teams are in need of a big result and others are trying to keep their momentum going, but one way or another, there are a lot of interesting storylines to unpack.
One thing that is particularly interesting is that after four games, we still have three clubs on a 100% record – and no, City isn’t one of them. The reigning champions were somewhat exposed by Wolverhampton Wanderers as not being invincible, and while they’re still unbeaten, many teams can take some pride and encouragement in knowing that it’s more than possible to get one over on Guardiola’s men.
But we’re here to talk about three other sides: Liverpool, Chelsea and Watford (yes that last one is correct). While we’re still in the early stages of the campaign we’ve been able to see them edge past everyone that has been put in their path, and it’s great to see so much excitement from fans regarding what all three could realistically achieve.
The Reds have one of the most exciting attacks in EPL history, the Blues are exceeding all expectations already, and the Hornets have assembled a squad that’s more than capable of giving anyone a game. When you consider the litter of other high quality teams that are below them, too, it really does feel like we could be in for one of the most exciting Premier League seasons since its inception back in 1992.
That sounds like a big statement, but with many big games on the horizon, it’s only natural to get excited.
Where will these three teams end up?
